Introducing Shekinah3's own Vegan Chef

I’m Martin, originally from Norway. I’m largely self-taught as a vegan chef, and have built extensive experience working within Melbourne’s hospitality industry.

My approach is rooted in creativity and intuition, transforming each dish into something expressive and alive.

At Shekinah3, my work extends beyond food—I practice as a Unity Therapist, bodyworker, CranioSacral therapist, and laboratory alchemist. For me, it’s all part of the same continuum: a fusion of transformation, healing and culinary artistry.

Based in Melbourne, I draw deeply from my love of foraging—wild mushrooms, herbs, flowers, and even laneway fruit. My cooking moves fluidly across cuisines, from Scandinavian and Italian to Greek, Middle Eastern, Indian, Southeast Asian, Caribbean, and South American. I focus on creating animal-free food that is exciting, deeply satisfying, and grounded in texture and authentic, whole-food flavours.
